Luciretta Wheeler

April 20, 1958 — February 26, 2018

Luciretta "Lucy" Wheeler, daughter of Luther and Vadia (Cox) Ross, was born on April 20, 1958 in Claremore, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on February 26, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 59 years, 10 months, and 6 days.
Lucy was an administrative assistant at Stilwell Public School for several years. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She liked going antique shopping. But most of all, Lucy loved her family especially her grandchildren. She was a great woman of faith, serving alongside her husband as he pastored for many years. Most recently she was a member of New Testament Church.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and sister Janice Ross.
Lucy is survived by her loving family that includes her husband of nearly 42 years James Wheeler of the home in Stilwell, OK, three daughters: Stephanie Bruner of Sperry, OK, Jamie Higgins and husband J.D. of Prairie Grove, AR, Mary Kay McMurtrey and husband Stephen of Sapulpa, OK, eleven grandchildren: McKenleigh, Dirk, Dara, Tanna, Allie, Taylor, Teagan, Teryn, Tyler, Ryan, and Kyle, two great-grandchildren: Maizleigh, Maleighza, siblings: Jeannie Nast and husband John of Greenwood, AR, Danny Ross and wife Linda of Stilwell, OK, Melvin Ross of Stilwell, OK, Karen Martinez and husband Marty of Stilwell, Ok, Jimmie Ross of Little Kansas, OK and Randy Ross and wife Andrea of Stilwell, OK. A close friend who was like a sister; Sue Hensley, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive her.

Memorial services were held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at New Life Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Pastor Max Ford, Bro. Dan Ketcher and Evangelist Roger Whetstone officiating.
