Lucy Wilhite

Lucy Wilhite, daughter of Eddie Coble and Mammie Mae (Wood) Gladden was born December 19, 1921 in Van Buren, AR and departed this life surrounded by her family on July 9, 2017 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 20 days.

Lucy married Orren Wilhite on June 6, 1942 and to this union 3 children were born; Delbert, Donna and Roger. She loved the duties that followed her role of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She made ceramics for several years and thoroughly enjoyed it. She also enjoyed beautiful flowers but most of all she cherished time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Eddie and Mammie Gladden, her husband: Orren Wilhite, brothers; James Lee Gladden, George Gladden, Bill Gladden and Colby Gladden, sister Harriett Ann Bays and daughter in law; Donna Wilhite.

Lucy is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Delbert Wilhite and wife Sonia, Roger Wilhite and wife Jan all of Stilwell, OK, Donna Clark and husband Darrell of Neosho, MO, grandchildren; Derriek Wilhite and wife Angela, Orren Wilhite, Jerried Wilhite, Nikita Hummingbird and husband Kyp all of Stilwell, OK, Donald Clark and wife Susan of Neosho, MO, Darla Stanley and husband Scott of Carthage MO. 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 brothers; Hoy Gladden of Stilwell, OK and James H. Gladden and wife Jane of Wagoner, OK, sister; Mary Bell Collins of Baron, OK, sisters in law; Wanda Catcher and Dorothy Workman both of Stilwell, OK , several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
