Lynden Eugene Burchett, son of Leslie D. and Elda Faith Perkins Burchett, was born on November 25, 1947 in Seiling, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 19 days. He was a graduate of Seiling High School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University. Lindy served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He was an excellent mechanic and a truck driver for several large companies. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed many outdoor activities. He was well known and liked. Lindy will be missed by his friends and family. Preceding him in death were his parents: Leslie and Elda Burchett, daughter: Wendi Renee Gore and brother: Lowell Burchett. He is survived by his wife: Jan Burchett of the home in Stilwell, children: Kati Ward and husband Brady of Conyers, GA, Leslie James Burchett and wife Angela of Canton, GA, Lindy Joe Burchett and wife Jennifer of Simpsonville, SC, grandchildren: Brice and Beth Ward of Conyers, GA, Logan Gore and wife Annie of St. Louis, MO, Mark Gore of Puxico, MO, Kyla and Jack Burchett of Canton, GA, Angel, Alaina and Alyssa Burchett of Simpsonville, SC, brothers: Lyle Burchett of Oklahoma City, OK, Lane Burchett of Thomas, OK, Larry Burchett of Okarche, OK, sisters: Nancy Garrett Farrier of Stilwell, OK, Mona Russell of Hooker, OK, Karen Henline of Granbury, TX, Bethel Claussen of Dodge City, KS, Kate Steele of Seattle, WA, aunt: Betty Littlefield of Tucumcari, NM. Lindy is also survived by many other relatives and friends. No public services planned at this time.
