Maggie Chadwell

Maggie Pauline Chadwell known to many as Polly daughter of Dee Elery and Jessie Lera Rhodes Smith was born January 13, 1921 in Lincoln, Arkansas and departed this life on May 22, 2012 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 9 days. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She was a hard and dedicated worker at her jobs working for Campbell Soup and Plus Poultry. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family whom will never forget those cobblers and apple pies she made. You were not allowed just to come and visit, you had to eat while you were at her house or she would get upset. Polly was preceded in death by her parents her husband Albert Ab Chadwell, son Lilbern Chadwell, 1 brother Jack Smith and sister in law Ida Smith. She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children Juanita Davenport and husband Don of Prairie Grove, AR, Oleta McCoy and Gary Chadwell both of Westville, OK, 11 grandchildren Debra Uhl, Ricky Blakemore, Diane Reed,Mike Chadwell, Chris McCoy, Rhonda Spurlock, Todd Chadwell, Cindy Harris, Deanna Akin, Justin Chadwell and Kayla Davis. 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several other relatives and many friends also survive her. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Roberts Chapel, Westville with Jim Beavers officiating. Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery.
