Malissa Hernandez

Malissa Ann "Lisa" Hernandez, daughter of Dennis and Dorothy (Doublehead) Gonzales, was born January 26, 1963 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on September 30, 2017 at the age of 54 years, 8 months and 4 days.
Lisa was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Her family was a priority in her life and she considered her children a blessing and was so proud of each of them. Much of her time was spent following her children around to any sports events they had. She loved to cook and enjoyed family gatherings especially when she could plan them. Her house was always open to anyone in need and she took care of many others all while being a great listener. She loved attending church at Calvary Southern Baptist while her health permitted.
Lisa graduated from Stilwell High School. She had a great time teaching preschool at Zion School and enjoyed working at Wilma P. Mankiller Clinic. She was an avid OU and Thunder fan.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; Dennis and Dorothy Gonzales and sister; Marylin Gonzales.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband, Joe Hernandez of Stilwell, Ok, her sons; Ramon Hernandez of Peoria, AZ, Eric Hernandez of Stilwell, OK, Robby Hernandez of Great Bend, KS, Alec Hernandez of Stilwell, OK, daughters; Lillian Polina and husband Marcus of Siloam Springs, AR, Tracy Hernandez of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren; Marcus Jr., Natalie, Maddison and Haley. Siblings; Ronnie Gonzales and wife Rita, Rhonda Gonzales all of Stilwell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at New Life Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Joey Ketcher and Bro. Salaw Hummingbird officiating. Interment to follow at Doublehead Cemetery, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
