Marguerite Casteel, daughter of Raymond E. Clark and Susanna (Muller) Clark, was born September 26,1921 in Neuwied, Germany and went to be with her Lord on February 9, 2017 at the age of 95 years and 5 months. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman Casteel and son, Lewis Edwin Casteel.
She came to the United States of America when she was about one year old and lived in Schenectady, New York. She moved to Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of twelve and enrolled in the Stilwell School System. She graduated from Stilwell, High School in May of 1939 where she Co-Valedictorian of her graduating class and was active in the Stilwell band.
Marguerite (Clark) married Herman Casteel on May 13,1939. They celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary 2004 with her family and many friends. Marguerite loved to go the First Baptist Church in Stilwell where she taught Sunday school classes, sang and was active in Women's Missionary Union. She was a member of the Eastern Star and she had many hobbies. Marguerite was an excellent artist and loved to make quilts, liked to sew, crochet, fish, and visit with her many friends.
She is survived by her son Jerry and wife Carol Casteel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one grandson Edwin Alan Casteel and wife Jamie of Jackson, Mississippi, one granddaughter Sunnie Gale Rhea of Florida, four great-granddaughters Evelyn Brooke Erdmann of Tulsa, Ashley Elaine Casteel of Jackson, Mississippi, Gabrielle Indigo Picket and Hailey Ember Pickett of Tulsa, one great-grandson, Keagan Alexander Pickett of Florida, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
