Marilyn Sawney

Marilyn Sue Sawney daughter of Charlie and Georgia (Polecat) Cochran, was born November 21, 1958 in Bell, OK and departed this life on April 3, 2017 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 14 days.
She was the oldest granddaughter of the late Sarah Soap and George Polecat Sr.
Marilyn was known to many family members as "Beaver" and to all her nieces and nephews as
" Nanny". "Beaver" loved going to church, hearing the word of God, she loved her family, loved singing and attending singings. She loved cooking for her family and being around all the little babies. She always had a testimony about how God was so good to her throughout her life, through all her pain and suffering, and even then, she managed to praise the Lord and thank him for everything. She was a member of Sheep Shed Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and aunts; Ophelia Mae Polecat and Shirley Pritchett.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband, Harry Lee Sawney Sr. (married on December 9, 1978) of Bell, OK, her daug hter, Shannon Sawne y, her son; Harry Lee Sawney Jr. two sisters; Sarah Cochran of Stilwell, Ok, Julia (Cochran) and husband Melvin Sevenstar of Belfonte, OK, one brother Paul Joe Cochran and wife Marilyn (Grayson), grandson; Jaidan Phillip Sawney, granddaughters; Sasha Sevenstar , Jada Sawney, and Jaylee Sawney, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
She leaves lots of loving memories to be cherished by her family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2017 New Life Church with Rev. George Polecat and Bro. Dewayne O'Fields officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery Stilwell, Oklahoma under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
