Marjorie Adair

July 16, 1926 — March 27, 2016

Marjorie Louise (Bigby) Adair, daughter of WJB "Buster" and Rosella Caroline "Callie" (Petty) Bigby, was born July 16, 1926 in the Oak Grove Community, Stilwell, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on March 27, 2016 in Tahlequah, OK, at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 9 days.

She married the love of her life Jess Adair in October 1946 and to this union 3 children were born; Larry, Joe and Mary Kathryn. She spent many years as a supervisor of food service in public schools. She enjoyed the duties of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

Louise was a great cook, enjoyed flowers, and loved visiting with people and never met a stranger. She was a member of the Stilwell Pentecostal Holiness Church where she attended while her health permitted. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jess Adair; daughter, Mary Kathryn Adair; 4 brothers, Harold Bigby, Burl Bigby, Gilbert Bigby and Robert Bigby.

Louise is survived by a very loving family that includes her sons, Larry Adair and wife Jan of Stilwell, OK, Joe Adair and wife Kathy of Tahlequah, OK; 4 grandchildren, Anesa Hooper and husband Jerry of Park Hill, OK, Carter Adair of New York City, NY, Ryan Adair of Tahlequah, OK, Jason Adair of Miami, OK; 3 great grandchildren, Sydney Hooper, Kelsey Hooper and Madison Adair; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
