Mary James

Mary Lou James, daughter of Luther Lew Smith and Helen Ima Cheatham Smith Fritch, was born on July 17, 1956 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and passed from this life on Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 54 years, 2 months and 28 days. Mary Lou loved her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed getting her family together whenever possible for a good home cooked meal. Mary Lou always worried about those without. She put others before herself at all times. She liked to quilt in her spare time. Mary Lou attended the 1st Assembly of God Church in Lincoln, Arkansas when able. She was preceded in death by her parents: Luther Smith and Helen Cheatham Smith Fritch and her brother: Luther Smith, Jr. She is survived by a loving family that includes her son: Robert Shawn Smith and wife Michelle of Prairie Grove, AR, daughters: Laura Lee James and Ashley Loughridge of Lincoln, AR, brothers: Douglas Smith and wife Becky of Evansville, AR, Duwayne Smith and Jeanette of Prairie Grove, AR, Leroy Fritch and wife Dottie of Farmington, AR, Ricky Fritch and wife Michelle of Westville, OK, grandchildren: Shannon Smith, Wesley Miller, Rachel Smith and Destinee Miller, all of Prairie Grove, AR, Daniel Wade Leroy of Westville, OK, Brendan Cole Smith of Walters, OK. Mary Lou is also survived by her lifelong companion: Bill Loughridge, many other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Arkansas with Ched Carpenter officiating. Interment followed under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
