Mary O'Neal

Mary Cleo O'Neal, daughter of Mary Idella Jones and Virgil Lee Swepston, was born February 10, 1943 in Welling, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on February 28, 2018 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 75 years and 18 days.

Cleo was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She worked alongside her husband Noble for many years and they owned and operated O'Neal's Grocery in the Spade Mountain community. She had a great love for children and used her talents to teach Kindergarten at Stilwell Public Schools for 19 years and taught Sunday School at Briggs Church for many years. Some of her favorite hobbies included her flower gardens, reading, canning, gardening, watching her birds but most of all she enjoyed time spent with family.

Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; Mary Idella and Bruce Wheeler and Virgil Lee Swepston, her husband; Noble Thedford O'Neal, siblings; Curtis Jones, Linda Vaughan, brother in law; Rocky Thomas, and sister in law; Lucy Wheeler.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Phillip O'Neal and wife Katja of San Antonio, TX, Sherry Bottoms and husband Jack of Stilwell, OK, 3 grandchildren; Jackie Bob Bottoms II of Stilwell, OK, Jesse and Jacob O'Neal both of San Antonio, TX, siblings; Larry Wheeler and Wife Donna of Stilwell, Ok, Kathy Thomas of Siloam Springs, AR, Thurman Wheeler and wife Ann, Lonnie Wheeler, James Wheeler all of Stilwell, Ok, Glenda Mitchell, Gail Fanner, Freddy Swepston, Gary Swepston, Stan Swepston. Sister in law; Judy Jones, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Audie Vaughan officiating. Interment followed at
Spade Mountain Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
