Mary Winkler

Mary Lou (Smith) McFarland Winkler, daughter of Hiras Dexter and Mary Melinda (Carpenter) Smith, was born November 21, 1932 in Stilwell, OK and departed this life on May 31, 2017 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 10 days.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed her duties of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family and friends. She was a member of Four Corners Church of Christ. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening when her health permitted. Some of her favorite times were spent enjoying family and church activities.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Hiras Dexter and Mary Smith, 2 husbands Hiram Alec McFarland and Arvle Winkler, 5 brothers; Oliver, Dean, Johnnie, Noble and Raymond Smith, 2 sisters; Tennie Campbell and Leona Workman.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her sons; Hiram McFarland and wife Donna, Roger McFarland and wife Kathy all of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren; Alanna Cooper and husband Brian of Owasso, OK, Bryce McFarland and wife Brenda of Whiting, IA, Neil Polack and wife Erin of Centerton, AR, Lee Polack, Misty Noisewater and husband Jonathan all of Stilwell, OK, Don McFarland and wife Kellie of Choteau, OK, Trever McFarland and wife Brandy, Marie Jettinghoff and husband Robert all of Stilwell, OK. 20 great grandchildren, One brother; Vernon Smith and wife Margie of Stilwell, OK., several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Chalk Bluff Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Rick Ritter and Bro. Leon Brashear officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
