Melvin Edward Boyd

Melvin (Shorty) Edward Boyd passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and  days, at his home in Stilwell, OK, on May 5th, 2023. He was born to Melvin R Boyd and Minnie F (Gasche) Boyd, on June 26, 1944 in Ritchie, Missouri. Melvin worked in poultry for many years. He retired when he moved to Stilwell to live with his wife Nancy ( Wolfe) Boyd and two stepdaughters, Irene & Alisha Wolfe.

He enjoyed fishing, visiting with family and friends. His favorite things to do were drinking coffee, eating lots of cookies, and watching many hours of Wrestling. He became a grandpa to his only grandchild Peyton in 2010. He enjoyed being his grandpa and was very proud of his grandson.

He is proceeded in death by both parents and 3 brothers, Bill, Calvin, and Loren, and their wives, and his first wife Sharon Holmes Boyd.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, stepdaughters Irene, Alisha and husband Ivan, one grandson Peyton, and a special niece Marlee – Jo(Amanda Jo) all of the home, and his sister Gerri Mac of Rogers, Ar., as well as many nieces and nephews.
