Naomi Ruth (Jones) Rodriguez was born on February 12, 1942, in Bunch, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully in her hometown on June 24, 2025, at the age of 83.
Naomi spent much of her adult life in Wichita, Kansas, where she worked in the aircraft fabrication industry while raising three children alongside her first husband. After their divorce and once her children were grown, Naomi returned to the family land in Bunch with her second husband, where she embraced a quieter life rooted in nature. There, she became a loving steward of the land, raising a variety of farm animals and cultivating both vegetables and flowers with care and pride.
She was known for her love of traveling, sewing, and fishing, though she preferred to let someone else bait the hook. Above all, Naomi cherished time spent with her family. A woman of strong Pentecostal faith, she lived with grace, resilience, and a deep connection to her roots. She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her.
She was reunited in eternity with her Father, Pete Madison Jones; Mother, Nora Belle Jones; Husband, Jose D. Rodriguez; Brothers, Paul and Silas Jones; and Sisters Martha Reel, Connie Roberts, and Nellie Faye Jones.
Her legacy lives on through her Sister Mary Limore, Sister Ella, and her husband Tommy Harper; Sister Daisy and her Husband Kenny Poor. Her children: (daughter) Tammie and her husband Robert Seymour; Daniel Welch(son), Angela Welch (daughter). Grandchildren: Vanessa Standifer, Bonnie Grubb, Amber Beachly, Michael Welch, Karmin Schwartz, and Jay Bolin. And a growing number of great-grandchildren, as well as a wide and loving extended family that includes nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
