Novella Neff

Novella Neff, 86, the daughter of John and Bertha Williams, was born on July 27, 1937 in Austin, Texas. 

She departed this life on February 14, 2024 in Perry, Oklahoma. 

Novella married Dennis Neff on September 7, 1959. To this union was born three children; Susie, John, and Adam. Novella, alongside her husband, Dennis Neff, was baptized at Rock Springs Baptist Church by her late brother-in-law, James M. Neff, on Janurary 21, 1976.

Novella lived her life in service of others including working as a nurse’s aid, a school cook, and will be remembered as a caregiver to many. Novella enjoyed spending her time with family and was always quick to offer food or a place to stay to those who were in need. She spent many hours sewing, gifting many quilts over the years. She thoroughly enjoyed winning at any card or board game and was quick to call for a rematch when she didn’t. Novella will be remembered for her feisty nature and her love for those she called her own. 

Novella was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha, a husband, Dennis Neff, a son, John Walter, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Michelle Neiman. Also, three brothers; John Wesley Williams, Paul Williams, Matthew “Bo” Williams. 

To mourn her passing is a daughter, Susie Neiman and her husband Steve of Perry, Oklahoma, a son; Adam Wayne Neff and wife Nancy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; along with three grandchildren, Zane, Nathan, and Brooklyn Neff. Also, four sisters, Lillie Lanmon, Helen Cantwell and husband, Shird Cantwell, Fannie Clawson, and Janie Chaney. Novella will be also missed by numerous nieces and nephews and many other remaining family and dear friends.   

Services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
