Ocie Curry, Sr.

Ocie Billy Curry, Sr., son of Billy William and Elsie (Drumheller) Curry, was born on September 17, 1960 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and departed this life on February 1, 2015 at Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.

He worked at Car-Mart. Ocie enjoyed working. He loved fishing, playing basketball and watching sports. Ocie enjoyed riding around in the country. He also enjoyed riding 4-wheelers with his son, Jr. and his brothers. He was of the Baptist faith. He was in the U.S. Army.

Ocie had a very special friend, Christine Foster. They enjoyed going places together. He had a special place in his heart for his son Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Julie Ann Deckard Curry, sister: Mary Curry, brothers: Paul, Danny and Michael Ray Curry.

Ocie is survived by a loving family that includes his son: Ocie Curry, Jr. of Tahlequah, OK, brothers: John Curry, Donnie Curry, of Stilwell, OK, David Curry and wife Sandy of Westville, OK, James Curry of Monett, MO, sisters: Marie Ross of Stillwater, OK, Martha Chavez of Tahlequah, OK, Ruby Crawford of Harrisburg, PA, Billie Wolfe of Vaughn, AR, Edith Brown and husband Dewayne of Stilwell, companion: Christine Foster of Stilwell, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside memorial services were held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Barber Cemetery, Welling, OK with Bro. Ricky Kirk officiating. Inurnment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK
