Paul Center, son of Bard and Jennie Mae (Collins) Center was born July 5, 1941 in Adair County, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 22, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 17 days.
Paul served his country proudly in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He held many jobs over his working career some to include; Bailiff for Judge Garrett for many years, Deputy for Adair and Cherokee Counties, Municipal Judge for Marble City and had a wrecker yard just to name a few. He enjoyed being a Shriner and Mason with Cherokee Lodge #10. He also enjoyed fishing, working on the farm, spending time tinkering in his shop and would make very unique items but most of all he enjoyed spending time spent with his family and friends. He was known by many and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Bard and Jennie Center, sister; Atha Jean Lackey and his son; Roger Center.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Tammy Latta of the home in Welling, OK, 3 children; Patty Center, Kim Warley and Paul Kahlan Center and wife Kelly all of Welling, OK, 2 step children; Candice Fagan and husband Brian, Jeremy Latta and wife Jade all of Welling, OK, grandchildren; Dennis Jay Hamby, Summer Hamby, Joshua Hamby, Brandy Lucas-Sowers, Ryan Warley, Korbin Warley, Britlee Fagan, Tarron Fagan, Nolan Fagan, Briken Latta and Addisyn Latta, great grandchildren; Skielah, Aubrey, Ryker, Noah, Brayden, Eli and Logan. One sister; Alta Rene King and husband Winfred of Stilwell, Ok, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Ok with Don Hyde officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
