Rae L. Workman, daughter of Jessie and Pearl (McGuire) Busbee, was born on November 16, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 30 days.
She spent her younger years in Sapulpa, OK and graduated from Will Rogers High School.
Rae met T.W. Workman, fell head over heels and they were married in March of 1959. They moved with their children to Stilwell in 1970 and made the area their home.
She started at Stilwell foods in 1972 and remained there until 1979, at which time, she began a new career at Facet Int’l. Rae stayed at Facet until her retirement in 1996.
Rae enjoyed spending time at the casino and attending the horse races in Sallisaw while her health permitted.
Her family was precious to her. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, anywhere and anytime. But her grandbabies were her pride and joy. Rae loved them unconditionally. She always had pictures of her grandbabies ready for anyone to see.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jessie and Pearl Busbee, her children: Linda Martin and Jerry Workman, sisters: Jolea Brooner and Laverna Boyles.
A loving family survives Rae. They include her husband, T.W., of the home in Stilwell, OK, son: Russ Workman and wife Ladena of Lincoln, AR, grandchildren: Jessie Martin and Scott Martin of Tahlequah, OK, Andrea Barnett and husband Scott of Springdale, AR, Deanna Allen and husband Jim of Fayetteville, AR, great grandchildren: Hudson, Harrison and Hadley Barnett of Springdale, AR, River Allen of Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
