Reba Hunter

Reba Christine Hunter, daughter of Arthur and Verna Kelley Patterson was born May 26, 1929 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on October 28, 2014 in Dallas, TX, at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 2 days.

She enjoyed cooking, traveling and was very craft oriented. She graduated from Stilwell High School and was a member of Salem Baptist Church and attended Victory Southern for several years while her health permitted. Christine and her husband Clifton owned and operated Hunters 5 10 Store for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Verna Patterson, her husband Clifton Hunter, brothers Herbert, HP, Paul, Joe and Ed Patterson, sisters Jewell Daufenbaugh, Carolyn Lowe, son Ronnie Hunter and wife Penny Nichols Hunter.

Christine is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughter Rhonda Hunter of Dallas, TX, granddaughter Julie Emmons of Euless, TX, grandson Thomas Hunter and wife Tatum of Hurst, TX, great granddaughter Carlie Emmons of Euless, TX, great grandson Cade Hunter of Hurst, TX, 4 sisters Barbara Johnson, Sue Asbill, Sheridan Patterson all of Stilwell, OK, Billie Garrett of Sand Springs, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Graveside services were held at 2 pm on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Don Varble officiating. Interment followed under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
