Rex Catron was born on October 19, 1961 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Robert and Edna Catron. He made his final journey on June 29, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 54 years old.
Rex was intrigued by the Ford Mustang. The Boss Model being his all-time favorite.
He also loved to take long walks in the woods, telling childhood stories and speaking Cherokee to others who spoke the language as well.
He also enjoyed attending the Church at Echota. Where he had recently rededicated his life to the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Calvin Catron, Levi Catron and Gary Helton.
He is survived by five brothers: Richard Catron and wife Retha of Tahlequah, OK, Jim Catron of Rocky Mountain, OK, Eddie Catron of Woodall, OK, Brett Catron of Titanic, OK, Neil Catron and companion Patricia of Wauhillau, OK, seven sisters; Romy Cordova and husband Mike of Tulsa, OK, Margaret Hummingbird and husband Alex of Rocky Mountain, Kathleen Williams and husband David of Park Hill, OK, Mary Harlin and companion Darrin Flynn of Parsons, KS, Patsy Shannon and husband Frank of Broken Arrow, OK, Doreen Williamson of Park Hill, Annette Mankiller of Rocky Mountain and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Gerry "Dino" Leach officiating. Interment followed at Echota Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma
