Richard Fourkiller

Richard Fourkiller, son of Charley and Lizzie Christie Fourkiller, was born on June 12, 1943 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Friday, September 11, 2009 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 29 days. Richard loved life. He was an avid outdoorsman and he liked hunting, fishing, gardening and raising flowers. Richard was a good cook, no one ever went away hungry from his table. His dogs, B.J. and Bear, were an important part of his life and not a day went by that he didnt play with them. As a young man, Richard spent many a day riding horses with his sisters, fishing, swimming and noodling in the local creeks and rivers with family and friends. Richard was a welder and construction worker. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother: Ned Fourkiller, his sisters: Christine Flores and Betty Sam and his son: Jimmie Allen Fourkiller. Richard is survived by his sisters: Juanita Teehee, Ruby Hopkins, Katie Francis all of Stilwell, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Fourkiller Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Charles Hummingbird officiating. Interment followed under the direction of RobertsReed-Culver Funeral Home.
