Robert Maxey Jr. was born on January 13, 1941, to Robert Maxey Sr. and Ruth Maxey in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was the only boy for his parents out of six children. He would pass from this life on November 16, 2023.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and other close family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish Robert's memories is his wife Dorthy of 36 years, one son Phillip Maxey and Valaine of Trussville, AL, two stepsons Steve Cockrum of Park Hill, Oklahoma, and Mack Cockrum and Okcha of Rose, Oklahoma, two stepdaughters Eugenia Teague of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, and Susan Clark and Tim of Lexington, Oklahoma, and eleven grandchildren. Two sisters; Jackie Davis of Delight, Arkansas, and Lynda Dyke of Greenville, Michigan.
Robert spent younger years in the Army and his professional life as a truck driver and really enjoyed what he did. He was a very hard worker and an avid outdoorsman. Robert enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, and rabbits. He also raised beagles and spent his leisure time enjoying carpentry.
Robert wouldn't want anyone to be sad for too long. He would want everyone to remember the love, laughter, and memories shared.
