Roland Smith

Roland Franklin Smith, son of Raymond E. and Lillie Preston (Howerton) Smith, was born on February 13, 1942 in McCory, Arkansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years.

Known as "Frank" to everyone, he was a well-known and liked member of the community. He was the local salesman for Frito Lay. Frank liked working on cars and lawn mowers. He was a handyman and enjoyed tinkering on things. Frank was a member of the VFW in Muskogee and a member of Central Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: June Smith.

His memory will be kept by his loved ones who remain behind. They include his wife: Ellen (Wilkinson) Smith of the home in Bunch, OK, children: Shelly Smith of Shawnee, OK, Debra Wilson and husband Gene, Daniel Smith and wife Brandy, Samantha Farmer and husband Matt, all of Stilwell, OK, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, siblings: Bill Smith and wife Mia, Donnie Smith and wife Margaret, Gary Smith and wife Connie, Francis Shaver and husband David, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
