Rosa Vaughan

Rosa Mae Vaughan, daughter of George and Callie Jane Pruitt Harlin was born October 8, 1926 in Cement, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord surrounded by her loved ones on October 16, 2014 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 88 years and 8 days.

She enjoyed the duties that followed her role of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She loved helping her husband on the farm tending to the chickens, ducks, cows and pigs. She loved to cook for her family and she made some of the best biscuits around and most importantly she loved doing the dishes. She also enjoyed reading her bible and looking at magazines.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Devoe Vaughan, 4 children Edith Morton, Georgia Johnson, Lonnie Vaughan, Kaylene Vaughan Guinn, granddaughters Melanie May Berry, Kasey Jolene Vaughan, great grandson Kelby B. Eubanks, 1 great great grandson Hunter Eubanks and brother Gene Harlin.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children Louise Massey, Sue Berry and husband John, Kathryn Swake and husband Buck, Claudie Vaughan and wife Irene, 2 sons in law Jerry Guinn all of Stilwell, OK, Tim Johnson of Welling, OK, 1 brother George Harlin Jr. and wife Barbara, sisters in law Pearley Young, Effie Hubbard and Dixie Harlin. 11 grandsons 15 granddaughters 75 great grandchildren, 36 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, October 20, 2014 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Bro. Audie Vaughan officiating. Interment followed at Vaughan Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
