Sadie Springwater

Sadie C. Springwater, daughter of Stan Watie Adair and Mary Bunch Adair, was born on September 7, 1921 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 5 months and 26 days. Sadie was a lifelong resident of the Stilwell area. She was known and loved by all who knew her. She married Tosley Springwater on September 11, 1948 and the Lord blessed them with a large and wonderful family. Sadie accepted the Lord as her savior on June 17, 1976. She was a great and loving Christian mother, who adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught Sunday school for 25 years and was a member of the Chuculate Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking for family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents: Stan and Mary Adair, son: Terry Springwater and two brothers: Sam and Joe Adair. She will be deeply missed by a very loving family that includes her husband: Tosley Springwater of the home in Stilwell, OK, children: Betty Gurule of Tahlequah, OK, Brenda Bush Jackie of Nicut, OK, Mary Katherine Springwater, Reba Gass Edward, Myrtle Springwater, Leda Owl JB, Larry Joe Springwater, Randy Springwater, all of Stilwell, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, brother: Billy Adair of Stilwell, sisters: Virginia Hodge of Welling, OK, Beatrice Sue Saul of Tulsa, OK. Sadie will also be missed by many other relatives and a multitude of friends. Funeral services were held at RobertsReedCulver Chapel on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. John Gonzalis, Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Chuculate Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
