Sallie Ketcher

Sallie Ketcher, daughter of Mariah Jones and Thomas Adair was born on September 16, 1927 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 19, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years and 3 days. She enjoyed watching football OU was her favorite team, gospel singing, cook outs, and most of all just spending time with her family. She loved big family gatherings. She was a member of the Echota Baptist Church. Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy Ketcher a son John Henry Ketcher two daughters: Wanda Faye Ketcher and Mary Ketcher three brothers: John Adair, Sam Adair, and Snow Adair and two sisters: Irene Handle and Maggie Handle. She is survived by a very loving family that includes sons: Jimmy Ketcher and wife Kathy, Lany Ketcher, Charles Ketcher and wife Vivian, Larry Ketcher and Quinton Ketcher all of Stilwell two daughters: Peggy Swimmer and husband Frank and Beverly Leach all of Stilwell 24 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends also survive her. Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Ketcher Family Cemetery, Stilwell, Ok with Bro. Gary Leach and Bro. Ellis Foster officiating. Interment followed under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
