Sandra Jean Curry, daughter of Faye Arlene Stacy, was born on June 22, 1961 in Aurora, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, October 6, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 56 years of age.
She worked at Stilwell Nursing Home for 16 years taking care of the elderly and sick. Sandy then went to work at Baldor and continued working there until she was no longer able to work.
Her pride and joy were her grandkids. She loved spending time with them and her family. Sandy enjoyed going to church at Mt. View Freewill Baptist Church. She also enjoyed fishing, swimming and loved the outdoors. Sandy had a green thumb and loved planting flowers. While her health permitted, she loved helping others. Sandy made friends easily, no matter where she was. She had a silly sense of humor and a huge smile.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: George & Louella Holloway, aunt: Brenda Langley, brother: James Hopkins, mother-in-law: Elsie Curry, father-in-law: Billy Curry and several other in-laws.
A loving family survives her. They include her husband: David Curry of the home in Westville, OK, children: David Curry and wife Tracie of Westville, Melissa Metcalf and husband Mike of Farmington, AR, Daniel Curry of Wagoner, OK, grandchildren: Matthew Donald and Sarah Donald of Westville, Jayden "Bubba" Metcalf and Kaylan Metcalf of Farmington, AR, Camren Curry and Matthew Curry of the home in Westville, mother: Arlene Hopkins of Westville, brother: Melvin Hopkins and wife Karalee of Westville, sister: Vicki Hopkins of Stilwell, OK, several aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services at 10 am on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Proctor Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Pastor Nino Galibao officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
