Tanya Lynn (Groom) Pouncy, daughter of William Floyd Groom and Sandy Kay Shell (Groom), was born on October 7, 1980, Tahlequah, OK. She passed from this life on Monday May 20, 2024, Muskogee, OK at the age of 43 years 7 months and 13 days.
Tanya married the love of her life Jeffrey Pouncy on September 22, 2018. She was employed as a Process Engineer Tech at Cherokee Nation Industries for 17 years. She graduated from Siloam Springs Highschool in 1999.
Tanya loved life and lived it full of love and grace. Her family was most important to her, she looked forward to family gatherings. She was very creative and liked trying new things and doing them with her friends and family. One of her favorite things to do was to travel, no matter where if you asked her to go, she was always ready when she was able. Tanya touched many lives through the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sandy Groom, maternal grandparents Ross and Virginia Shell, paternal grandmother Merina Hendrix and one stepson Jeffrey Gray.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Pouncy of the home, her father William Groom of Westville, OK, sister Haley Nichols and husband Jonathan of Siloam Springs, AR. Also several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
