Terry Hall

d. December 20, 2013

Terry Emmett Hall, born October 28, 1946, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to James and Jane Eubanks Hall, departed this life on December 20, 2013, at the age of 67 years, 1 month, and 22 days.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Eubanks Hall his father, James Hall aunt and uncle, Crystal and Charley Garmon and his grandparents, Bethel and Jessie Eubanks.

Terry spent the first seven years of his life in Stilwell, where he attended Zion Elementary School, then, upon the divorce of his parents, went with his mother to live with her sister in Kansas. They came back to Stilwell in his Junior year of high school. Upon high school graduation, he attended Northeastern State University, earning a degree in Business Administration, sociology, and psychology.

After a long courtship, on August 14, 1970, Terry finally got the courage to marry his only true love, Joy West. When his grandfather, Bethel Eubanks, had a tractor accident soon after their marriage, Terry took over the operation of the family farm. He was overjoyed at the birth of his children, Kris and Dawn. He never missed an event in their lives, and they were the pride of his life.

Terry had some questionable life experiences in his younger days, but, October 10, 1982, he had an encounter with God which completely turned his life around, and from that day on his focus was on the Kingdom of God.

He gave his testimony and preached in just about every church in the country. He and Brother Bob Robertson ministered weekly at the nursing home for many years. Terry was a Gideon until he became an ordained minister in 1989. Soon after his ordination, he took over the pastorship of Freedom Christian Center, where he stayed until his resignation due to illness in 2010.

Whatever Terry was doing, he did with all his might. He put everything he had into racing cars, raising cattle, teaching and preaching and being a good christian man, husband, and father. He was well known, loved, and respected in his community. A man of integrity.

Terry is survived by his wife, Joy, of 43 years children, Kris Hall and wife, Shana, of Stilwell, and their daughter Klaire, and their unborn son, Terry David Lee Hall Dawn Jackson and husband, Paul, of Norman, and their daughter Eris Joy granddaughter, Shyler Clinton, of Stilwell sisters, Linda and Brenda, and brother, Tim, and stepmother, Cathy Hall, all of Farmington, Arkansas brothersinlaw, Paul West of Tahlequah, and Jim West and wife Connie of Stilwell nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends.

Memorial services will be held December 26, 2013, at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Jim West, Steve Hahn and Joe White officiating.
