Thomas Bennett

Thomas Thurber Bennett, son of Bill and Beulah Thurber Bennett, was born on April 6, 1934 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 12 days. Tommy was a longtime resident of the Stilwell area. He also lived in California and Tulsa. Tommy loved his dog, Snoopy. Snoopy was his best friend. He had many occupations, but he retired as a truck driver. During his time as a truck driver he was able to see and experience much of the U.S. He liked to visit with friends and had many stories to share. Tommy will be missed. Preceding him in death are his parents: Bill and Beulah Bennett, brothers: Freeman Bennett and Edward Bennett, daughter: Cathy Bennett. Surviving Tommy is his daughter: Debbie Van Denhende and husband Chris of Tulsa, OK, son: Bill Bennett of Broken Arrow, OK, sister: Evelyn Petree of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren: Casey Casamento and wife Amy of Wichita, KS, Craig Casamento of Nashville, TN, great grandchildren: Elliot and Ruby Casamento, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Caney Cemetery, Cherokee County, OK with Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment followed under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
