Thomas Hunter

Thomas Lee Hunter, son of Claud Cecil Hunter and Isabel Wilkins Hunter, was born on January 18, 1938 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 4 days. Tom was a well known figure around Stilwell, Oklahoma. He owned and operated Toms Economy Tire for many years. Tom proudly served our country in the Korean War as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents: Claud and Isabel Hunter. Surviving Tom are his children: Jerry Hunter Cindy of Oklahoma City, OK, James Hunter Ellie of San Jose, CA, John Hunter Annette of Edmond, OK, sister: Ruth Shasteen of Pea Ridge, AR, grandchildren: Megan Amanda Hunter, Gabriel Ike Hunter and Chase Thomas Hunter, all of Oklahoma City, OK, Jake Hunter of Orlando, FL, Tiffany Renae Wilson of Stilwell, OK, Stacie Kaylene Hall and Leigh Ann Hunter of Edmond, OK, Jack Bloome of San Jose, CA. He is also survived by many other relatives and a multitude of friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Roberts Funeral Chapel, Booneville, AR with Henry Jenkins officiating. Interment followed at Old Union Cemetery, Magazine, AR.
