Toney Bennett

Toney Gerald Bennett, son of Russell and Kathy Bennett Canoe, was born on August 30, 1981 in Jay, Oklahoma and departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma at the age of 28 years, 1 month and 5 days. Toney was a loving father and enjoyed all of the time he spent with his family, children and friends. Toney was employed by WalMart Stores in Grove, OK. He attended the First Baptist Church of Colcord. Toney will be missed by all who knew him. Elijah Daniel Bennett, Toneys son, passed away shortly after his father. Toney was preceded in death by his grandmother: Ellen Canoe and his grandfather: Chester Swake. Toney is survived by his wife: Julia Bennett, daughter: Morgan Hill, and little buddy: Alexander Hill, all of Westville, OK, parents: Russell and Kathy Bennett Canoe of Leach, OK, brothers: Benjamin, Joseph Canoe of Colcord, OK, and Diego Sanders of Kansas, OK, grandparents: Eura Canoe and Daniel Canoe, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 in Roberts Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Keys officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
