Turner Grimmett

Turner Grimmett son of Bear and Eliza Vann Grimmett was born August 7, 1939 in Bunch, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 4, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 28 days.

He enjoyed the duties that followed his role of being a very loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He worked as a farmhand for many years. He married Dorothy Ann Mannon on April 2, 1961 and to this union 4 sons were born Dennis, Guy, Harold and J.D.

Turner was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dennis Lee Grimmett, Guy Grimmett Sr., 3 brothers George Grimmett Sr., Rufus Grimmett Sr., Robert Grimmett and one sister.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 53 years Dorothy Grimmett, 2 sons Harold Grimmett, J.D. Grimmett and wife Norma all of Stilwell, OK, 5 grandchildren Amber Michelle Teehee Blair, Guy Grimmett Jr., Julia Nicole Grimmett Combs, Pancie GuyLynn Grimmett, Jess Grimmett, great grandchildren Jacob Roy Grimmett, Audrey Nicole Grimmett, Kolby Ryan Grimmett, Abigail Taylor Combs, Xander Anthon Combs, Vincent Combs III. 3 sisters Linda Washington and husband Teehee of Tulsa, OK, Roberta Bunch of Stilwell, OK, Louise Wofford and husband Clayton of Claremore, OK, brother Roy Grimmett and wife Inola of Stilwell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Friday, November 7, 2014 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Bro. Gil Hooper officiating. Interment followed at Hickory Vann Cemetery, Bunch, OK.
