Vadia Ross

Vadia Ross, daughter of Day Jefferson Cox and Gladys Johnson Cox was born May 9, 1930 in Gore, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on July 20, 2012 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 11 days. She married Luther Ross on November 8, 1947 and to this union 8 children were born. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, visiting Branson with her sisters, daughters and nieces. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Vadia loved to Go and it didnt matter where. She retired from Stilwell Foods after working for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Georgia Miller Cox, brother Jimmy Milligan, daughter Janice Smith and granddaughter LaRita Ross. Vadia is survived by a very loving family that includes 7 children Jeannie Nast and husband John of Greenwood, AR, Melvin Ross of Wister, OK, Jimmie Frailey and husband Danny of Kansas, OK, Danny Ross and wife Linda, Randy Ross and wife Andrea, Lucy Wheeler and husband James, Karen Martinez and husband Marty, son in law Anthony Smith, sister Daisy Neff all of Stilwell, OK. 22 grandchildren 53 and one on the way great grandchildren, 4 and one on the way great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at RobertsReedCulver with Rev. Thomas Still and Bro. Danny Ross officiating. Interment followed at Ewing Chapel Cemetery.
