Vanessa Sawney

Vanessa (Duncan) Sawney was born on July 12, 1977, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Louella Duncan. She passed from this life on December 2, 2022, at the age of 45 years.

Vanessa had 7 children: Grant, Wyatt, JaDen, Tyla “T”, Taylor, Luke, and Kaysah; and she was the best Nanny in the world to her granddaughters: Zarra & RaeLa Duncan and one of which is on the way. Her favorite moments were when she was with her husband, children, and granddaughters. She loved listening to her gospel music as she fell asleep. She enjoyed talking to everyone about everything and she never failed to mention how much she adored God and her family. She was an extraordinary person who put others first even if it meant she was last. Vanessa loved strongly.

She was proceeded in death by her mother: Louella Duncan; father: David Soban; sister: Georgia Ann Thurber; son: Wyatt D. Sawney; and grandchildren: Baby Duncan and Baby Sawney.

Vanessa is survived by her husband: JD Sawney and children; brothers: Jackie Duncan, Randy Duncan and wife Maryann, Roy Duncan, and Andy Duncan; sisters: Brenda Duncan, Nikki Flynn, Mandy Watie and husband Sundown, Jr., Barbara Teehee and husband Albert, Betty Galcatcher and Joe, Jennifer Girty and Stone; daughter-in-law: Jade Duncan; and son-in-law: Josiah Killer who she claims as her very own, all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who she loved and cared for very much.
