Vena Brewer

Vena Maud Rozella Brewer, daughter of Thomas Edward and Mary Etta Keys Neff, was born on March 28, 1934 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.

Rozella married Lucien T. Brewer on February 3, 1953 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and embarked on an exciting life together. As Lucien was in the U.S. Army for 30 years, she became an Army wife and enjoyed their life in the military. They were blessed with four children and many years together. She helped her husband support the household as a cook and waitress. Rozella was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 47 years, Lucien Brewer in 2000, her son: Clayton Brewer, parents: Ed and Mary Neff, siblings: Max Neff, Mary Lou Matheney, Bob Neff, Pauline Grubbs, Shirley Segraves, J R Neff, Mike Neff and an 6 month old brother: Scoffield Neff.

Rozella is survived by her daughters: Luciann Brewer Oden of Alma, AR, Suzette Brewer of Stilwell, OK, son: Roy Brewer of Stilwell, grandchildren: Benjamin Brewer, Sydney Brewer, Dalton Brewer, Josh Brewer, Melissa Brewer, Samantha Brewer, Cody Brewer, Marcus Collado, Brianna Lyle, sister: Liz Thomas and brother: Bill Ray Neff. Many other friends and relatives also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Bill Neff officiating. Interment was at 1 pm at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Ok.
