Violet Black

Violet Marie Black, daughter of Columbus and Delia Mae Sixkiller Brown was born July 15, 1925 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on March 24, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 9 days. She was saved and baptized in 1959. One of her favorite things to do was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed raising chickens, gardening, listening to Cherokee singing, watching westerns and watching John Cena wrestle. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Richard Black, 1 son: Ronnie Black, brothers: J.T. Brown, Ned Brown, Herbert Buckner, Harvey Buckner, 1 sister: Lorene Mallard and 2 grandsons: Ty and Brayden Black. She is survived by a very loving family that includes her 6 children: Wendle Black and wife Leona, Daisy Stewart and husband Butch, Darlene Black, Carl Black and wife Virginia, Preston Black and wife Shelly, Sherri Black all of Stilwell, OK, 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, a special friend: Stoney Eagle, other relatives and many friends also survive her. Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Bro. Juke Kester and Bro. Herman Jones officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
