Virginia Ketcher

Virginia May Ketcher daughter of Howard Patrick and Ruby Sarah (Tyner) Weir was born May 7, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 6, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 29 days.

Virginia had a green thumb and loved her azaleas, pulling weeds, feeding the hummingbirds and spending time outdoors.  She collected angels and elephants with their trunk up, loved to read and crochet, was an avid Young and the Restless fan, loved her Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Yankees baseball and college football.

Virginia worked hard for many years to help provide for her family.  She was a school and hospital cook for many years as well as did secretarial work for many oil companies and worked for DHS in Louisiana and Oklahoma.  She was of the Methodist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Neal Ketcher , son ; Steven Ketcher, and sisters; Lillian DuBuc and Nancy Fuller.

Virginia is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Dawna Smithells and partner John Mitchell, Kimberly Bennett and husband Cameron all of Stilwell, OK, Annita Parsons and husband Jim of Longview, TX, 6 grandchildren; Amanda Ketcher, Melinda Jackson and husband James, Savannah Cope and husband Eric, Jackson Bennett and wife Bailey, Thurman Parsons and fiancé April Reed, and Olivia Yerke and husband Corbin.  Great grandchildren; Troy, Chase, Hanna, Jaden, Blaze, Daxton, Gunner and River Aylea, Dominic, Lilly and Molly, brother; Howard Weir of Stilwell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
