Watie William Pack, age 70, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Stilwell Memorial Hospital after battling cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Stilwell and surrounding areas. He is survived by his wife, Elsie L. Pack of the home. He is also survived by his children: Ricky G. Wood and wife Kim, of Tennessee; Watie Pack, Jr. and wife Julie of Bartlesville, OK.; Ricky Thomas Pack and wife Heather of Huntsville, AR.; Karen Gibson and husband Dale of Spring, Tx.; Barbara Brown and husband Danny of Humphrey, AR.; Denise Hill and husband Steve of Bella Vista, AR. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Gordon and husband David.

He was a great big brother to his surviving siblings; Brothers: Jess Pack of Baron, OK.; Jerry Pack and wife Kim of West Siloam Springs, OK.; Terry Pack and wife Letha of Stilwell, OK.; Billy Joe Pack and wife Becky of Stilwell, OK.; and sisters: Oleta Stayathome and husband John of Cookston, Ok.; Kathryn Waring and husband Mike of Cane Hill, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Mary Pack of Stilwell, OK.; and siblings Danny Pack, infant, and Treasa Pack, infant; Myrtle Monholland of Stilwell, OK,; Betty Brown of Sallisaw, OK.; Judy Chucalate of Baron, OK.; Barbara Sue Pack of Colfax, IL.

He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and preceded in death by 2 great granddaughters.

He worked many years as a poultry farmer, and after retiring from that, he continued working as a welder. He worked hard his entire life and even in down time, he piddled with projects. He was always doing something. He loved old westerns like Gunsmoke and Bananza. He loved Fried catfish, fried chicken, coconut cream pie and watermelon. He fiddled with playing guitar as a young man. But, his true passion was coon hunting. He would work all day and hunt all night, then get up and do it again!

He was a man of integrity, character, work ethic and honesty. He was a man of his word and believed in honor and taking care of his family, no matter what it took He was loved by all his remaining family and kids, and all those who met him. He will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are being handled by Roberts Funeral Home in Stilwell, OK. Visitation is Sunday, October 2 from 2-4, and there will be a graveside service at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Stilwell, OK., Monday, October 3 at 10 AM.
