William Childers, Jr.

On Thursday night, March 11, 2021, William Jefferson Childers, Jr. (Jeff), a loving husband to Tonya (Vann) Childers, a father of three, William Childers, Amber Childers, and Jamie Childers, passed away at the age of 63.

William was born on January 14, 1958 in Exeter, California to William and Annetta (Glenn) Childers.

On Feb. 14th, 1990, William married Tonya Kay Vann. They raised two sons, William and Jamie Childers, and one daughter, Amber (Childers) Rill.

William had a passion for fishing and spending time with his family, Oh and don’t forget the phone, from hangout out at the ballfields, swimming in the creeks, eating banana laffy taffy, sitting and laughing for hours, riding four wheeler, and so much more.

His great niece Miranda said it best, “His smile could melt any heart and bring instant joy. With him, you never had to wonder how much he loved you. He let you know how much he loved you all the time, that's one thing you could never doubt, he was the most genuine person I've met, and I mean ever.”

William was preceded in death by his father William, and his mother Annetta and great niece Kristin Holt.

He is survived by his wife Tonya, and three children, William and Jamie Childers, and Amber (Childers) Rill of the home in Stilwell, Ok and his two sisters, Evelyn Childers and Susan Tabor from McAlister, Oklahoma.

Jeff also had a hand in raising 5 nieces, 3 nephews and a close family friend that was more of a son to him, Wideload. Jeff also had 5 beautiful grand babies, he absolutely loved. He loved them with all his heart, Tobiaz, Trinity, Alyssa, Winter, and Zachary, just remember that you will always be papa's grand babies. He will always be watching over you.

A Memorial Visitation was held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
