Wilma Louise Taylor, affectionately known as a Wife, Mom, Grandma, Granny, and Sissy, was born on October 17, 1944, in Brady, Texas, to Joseph Perry Taylor and Willie Ann Taylor. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 80 years, 10 months, and 17 days in Siloam Springs, AR.
On July 4th, 1960, Wilma married the love of her life, Norman Howard Luethje, and to this union 7 children were born: Alan Ray, David Howard, Anna Marie, Dwayne Edward, Norma Louise, Carol Lynn, and Joseph Perry. Wilma was a homemaker in her earlier years. Once they moved to Oklahoma back in 1980, she began working more outside the home. One thing that stood out was her going back to school to become a dietitian at the Westville Nursing Home. She also worked as a CNA and home health aide.
During her life she was an active member of Westville Landmark Missionary Baptist Church for many years before moving to Siloam Springs. She loved spending time with her family and church family. She loved spending time working in her flower beds, solving puzzles, and spending time with "Pauly," her cat. She also loved to go on adventures; whether it be a trip to Texas or Branson, she was always ready to go.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father; her husband; 3 brothers JE "Son" Taylor, Ike "Bill" Taylor and Gene Taylor; sister Alma Baker; son Alan Luethje; and Grandson Joshua Crittenden Jr.
Wilma is survived by her children: David and wife Edwina, Dwayne and wife Lisa, Joe, Anna Hernandez, Norma Weaver and husband Mike, and Carol Crittenden and husband Joshua; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Luethje; and brother Mickey Taylor. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She will be greatly missed.
