Wilma Mathews

Wilma Gene Mathews, daughter of James Monroe and Ola Mae Parker Workman, was born on March 10, 1940 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on Monday, April 16, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 6 days. Wilma was a graduate of Stilwell High School. She married her love, David Mathews, on October 12, 1974 and they were blessed with over 37 years together. Wilma was a warm and giving person. She was a hard worker and enjoyed her positions as a stocker at WalMart and driving a truck. She blessed the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed. Preceding her in death were her parents: James and Ola Workman and her brotherinlaw: Luther Long. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband: David Mathews, of the home in Stilwell, sisters: Barbara Hartman and husband Dennis of Shawnee, KS, Glenda Dunavant and husband John of Bon Aqua, TN, Mellie Long of Stilwell, brotherinlaw: Jim Stilwell and wife Monica of Independence, MO, 4 nephews, 5 nieces, 15 great nieces and nephews. Wilma is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services were held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Larry Eubanks officiating.
