Wilma Smallen

Wilma Agnes Grigsby Smallen was born on February 4, 1924 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 27, 2013 at the age of 88, 8 days before her birthday. She was born to Henry C. and Laura Belle Knight Grigsby, the 2nd of 7 living children. She married Lee Smallen and to this union Dewey Lee Smallen was born. Dewey lived a brief time on earth before the Lord took him home. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lee, son: Dewey Lee, parents: Henry and Laura Grigsby, sisters: Ann Lois ArgrovesKidd, Henrietta Reid Vaughn, Alma Ruth Spade, Doris Bemore Christie, brother: Benny Grigsby and two nephews. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her sister: Mary Ellen Johnson of Tulsa, OK, sisterinlaws: Elsie Vaughn Smallen of Stilwell, OK Goldie Morris of Westville, OK, Sylvia Menke of AR, brotherinlaw: Tom Christie of Peggs, OK, special cousins: Sue Ann Brannon Alberty and husband Dewey, Alyene Sanders Sharp, of Tahlequah, OK, Donald Grigsby and wife Elaine and Owen Knight and wife Edith, of Stilwell. Wilma is also survived by 8 nieces, 8 nephews, many great nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Max Ford officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
