Zachary Gonzalis

Zachary Jabby Zach Gonzalis was born February 16, 1977 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Chester Jim Gonzalis and Thelma Hawk Gonzalis. He departed this life on October 23, 2010 at his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 33 years, 8 months and 7 days. Zach was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He loved being outdoors, playing ball with his brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. He loved working on cars and watching his son play football, basketball and baseball. Zach was very close to his brothers, they had a special bond. He was a contractor, who built pole barns and loved traveling wherever his job took him. If you ever met Zach, you would always remember him. He always had a smile on his face. Zachary was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and gave his life to the Lord on May 4th, 2007. Zach is preceded in death by his dad: Chester Jim Gonzalis, sister: Debra, paternal grandparents: John and Betsy Gonzalis, maternal grandparents: John and Emma Bird Frogg, Thomas Hawk, Sr., uncles: Elmer Hawk, Robert Gonzalis, John Buford Gonzalis, Max Gonzalis and Jack Frogg, aunts: Eva Mae Gonzalis, Margaret Adair, cousin: Gary Adair, brotherinlaw: Erasmo Sanchez, great nephew: Christian Erasmo Garcia. Survived by his son: Keenan Winterhawk of the home in Stilwell, OK, mother: Thelma Gonzalis of the home, 6 brothers: John Gonzalis of the home, Richard Gonzalis and wife Elsie of Stilwell, Punchy Gonzalis and wife Teresa of Stilwell, Sookie Gonzalis and wife Judy of Stilwell, Lee White Gonzalis and companion Deann of Stilwell, Kelly Frog Gonzalis of Gardner, KS, 4 sisters: Sandra Gonzalis of Stilwell, Rachel Sanchez of Stilwell, Vickie Sanchez and husband Robert of Stilwell, Veronica Gonzalis of the home, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, 5 uncles: Leon Frogg and Emmett Gonzalis of Stilwell, Jerry, Jess and Thomas, Jr. of Westville, OK 5 aunts: Sharon Frogg and Betty Diver of Stilwell, Dolly, Christine and Mary of Ada, OK and special friend: Brandy Finley. He is also survived by many, many friends and loved ones. Zach will be greatly missed by all those he left behind. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home with Bill McCause and Joey Ketcher officiating. Interment followed at Feathers Cemetery under the direction of RobertsReedCulver Funeral Home.
