Zona Thurn

Zona Thurn, daughter of William and Lula (Jackson) Catcher was born March 11, 1934 in Piney, OK and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on February 23, 2017 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 12 days.
She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Zona and her husband were EMT certified and ran an ambulance for several years. She worked for over 30 years at CNI in Stilwell to provide for her family. She was a member of United Methodist Indian Church. When not working Zona enjoyed quilting, bowling, crocheting, dancing and fishing but most of all enjoyed quality time spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Zona was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands; Richard Flute and Ray Thurn, sisters; Edith Knight, Carlene Ketcher, brothers; Tem Ketcher, Floyd Catcher and Anderson Catcher.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Phyllis Grady and husband Jeff of Tahlequah, OK, Lawana Farguson and husband Bob of Ft. Gibson, OK, Richard Dewayne Flute and wife Julie of Stilwell, OK, 6 grandchildren; Joshua Lovell and wife Kiyoko of Tahlequah, OK, Felicia Vann and husband Brian of Stilwell, OK, Blake Farguson of Ft. Gibson, OK, Kristi Flute, Caleb Tripp and wife Brittnee, Joshua Tripp all of Stilwell, OK, great grandchildren; Chasen Vann, Talon Vann, Lilly Tripp and Laney Tripp all of Stilwell, OK. A special niece; Betty Walkingstick, sisters; in law; Myrta Catcher, Evelyn Hart, Nanni Sue McLemore, brother in law; Owen Knight, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Darrell Lacie officiating. Interment followed in the Ewing Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
