Carl Blevins was born on 10-20-1942 in Pryor to Frank and Fay Blevins.  He passed peacefully surrounded by his family in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on February 11, 2021

He grew up and went to school in Salina, OK.

In 1994 Carl married Patricia (Trish). Trish brought 3 children into the marriage along with Carl’s 5 children and throughout their 25 years of marriage, they added 8 more children to their family for a total of 16 children. Carl and Trish were also foster parents, and they fostered over 150 children throughout their years together.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Alberta) Blevins, Rose, OK, his children, Teresa (Brian) Covington, Picayune, MS, Sharon (George) Gutierrez, Ada, OK, Doyle (Anna) Blevins, Hindsville, AR, Calob Blevins, Sallisaw, Mathew Blevins, Stilwell, Louisa Blevins, Cheyenne Blevins, Allison Blevins, Josaline Blevins, Emily Blevins, Ally Jo Blevins, Stilwell, of the home, Teresa (Rickey) Buzzard, Stilwell, Amesa (Emilio) Lopez, Stilwell, Tracy Ruggles, Stilwell, Daughter in Law June Blevins, Mt. Grove, MO, Son in Law Chummy Shotpouch, Jay, OK, Grandchildren, Russell Rice, Jason Stroup, Kassaundra Johnson, Bryan Healey, Cory Blevins, Lydia Blevins, Amanda Ebers, Christopher Cummings, Shelbie Maddux, Lacay Roper, Ariel Blevins, Mya Blevins, Damian Gonzalez, Mariana Lopez, Gabriella Lopez, and Zayne Ruggles, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eula Fay Blevins; his wife, Patricia (Crisp) Blevins; daughter, Gwen (Blevins) Shotpouch; son, Carl (George) Blevins, Jr. and his granddaughter, Heather Cummings.

He worked in several capacities, mostly as a carpenter, but also played bass guitar in bands, and worked as a cowboy on ranches.  He worked as a carpenter and took horticulture classes for work with the Cherokee Nation.  Most recently, Carl worked for the Adair County Sheriff’s office.

His hobbies included wood working, plants, and playing guitar.
