Lane Hunter

Longtime resident of Adair County and the Stilwell area, Lane Jeffery Hunter, 58, died March 10, 2021 near his home in Baron, OK.

Lane Jefferey Hunter was born on this month, day, and year at St. Mary Catholic Church in Aberdeen, Washington, to his parents, Earl Hunter and mother.

As he grew up, Lane attended schools in Hoquiam, Washington, Montesano, Washington and Stilwell High School. He enjoyed running for the track team and numerous sports such as...   As a young man, he was a well-known mechanic that his father was so very proud of to this day. There wasn't a vehicle he couldn’t fix from the ground up.

He is survived by his father Earl and wife Glenda Hunter of Baron, Oklahoma; his mother and Arthur Pelela of Washington; his sisters Earlene of Baron, Oklahoma; Stacy Gatewood and husband of Stilwell, Oklahoma; Charlene Vela of McAllen, Texas; and Angela Lankford and husband of Evansville, Arkansas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his Grandparents Slim and Eula Hunter of Stilwell, Oklahoma; and Grandparents Otto Knoph and Mary Wold of Washington.
