Wanda Mccully

Wanda Lea (Brown) McCully, daughter of John R Brown and Nettie (Beanstick) Brown was born August 9th, l935 in Stilwell, OK.

Wanda attended Zion School through 8th grade and after graduating from Stilwell High School, she worked as a reporter for the Democrat Journal for a short time and then attended and graduated   Draughon Business School, later she was employed by Hertz for several years.

Wanda married Haskell McCully August 3rd, 1956 and they made their home in Tulsa.  When Wanda and Haskell decided to move back to Stilwell, she worked as an algebra tutor at Stilwell High School for several years.  Several students really appreciated her help that insured that they would graduate.

Wanda gave her life to the Lord at an early age and her family and church (family) meant everything to her.  She was a member of Stilwell Church of Christ

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Haskell of the home, one son, Michael Duane McCully of Bunch, OK

3 Grandchildren:  Charity Hambrick, John McKinney, both of Claremore, OK and Cody McCully, Bunch, OK

3 Great Grandchildren:  Jimmie McKinney, Riley Hambrick and Evan Hambrick

Brothers:  H D Brown and Rick Brown, both of Stilwell, OK

Sisters:  Retha Faddis, Sue Ann Smallen and Francis Longshore, all of Stilwell, OK

Step-brothers:  Earl Raleigh and Jennings Raleigh

Step-sister:  Beth Raleigh Glenn

And a host of nieces, nephews and other family members all left to cherish her memories, her beautiful warm smile and sweet spirit.
